Product Overview
Clone AFDE-20 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes thyrotropin subunit beta (gene TSHB) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 15.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 16 kDa.
Thyroid-stimulating hormone subunit β (TSHB) is the hormone-specific chain of TSH (thyrotropin), a glycoprotein made by the anterior pituitary. It pairs with the common α subunit shared with LH, FSH and hCG, and the resulting hormone acts on the thyroid to drive its growth and the production of thyroid hormones.
