Product Overview
Clone 27A33 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes tether containing UBX domain for GLUT4 (gene ASPSCR1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 60.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 70–80 kDa.
ASPSCR1 (also called TUG) is a tethering protein that holds GLUT4-containing vesicles inside fat and muscle cells when insulin is low. Insulin triggers the release of these vesicles so GLUT4 can reach the cell surface and take up glucose, and the ASPSCR1-TFE3 fusion is the defining event of alveolar soft part sarcoma.
