Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets twinfilin-1 (gene TWF1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 40.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 42 kDa.
Twinfilin-1 (TWF1) is a small actin-binding protein made of two ADF-homology domains. It binds actin monomers, preventing their assembly, and interacts with filament barbed ends and capping protein, helping to control actin turnover during cell motility, endocytosis and cell shape changes.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HT-1080 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): MCF-7 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human TWF1 fragment (His116–Asp350), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places twinfilin-1 in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed at high levels in the colon, testis, ovary, prostate and lung. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
