Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein C (gene SNRPC) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 17.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 17 kDa.
U1-C (SNRPC) is a U1 snRNP protein that stabilizes base pairing between U1 snRNA and the 5′ splice site of pre-mRNA. It is involved in the earliest step of splice site recognition for both constitutive and alternative splicing.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A549 cells.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): human breast cancer tissue.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): THP-1 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human U1-C/SNRPC fragment (Met1–Arg159), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein C in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
