Product Overview
Clone 18S46 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein A (gene SNRPA) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 31.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 31 kDa.
U1A (SNRPA) is an RNA-binding protein of the U1 snRNP that binds stem loop II of U1 snRNA. As part of U1 snRNP it helps recognize the 5′ splice site, and free U1A can regulate polyadenylation.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human U1A.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein A in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
