Product Overview
Clone 21U21 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes splicing factor U2AF 65 kDa subunit (gene U2AF2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 53.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 60 kDa.
U2AF2 (U2AF65) is the large subunit of U2 auxiliary factor, which binds the polypyrimidine tract near the 3′ splice site of introns. With U2AF1 and SF1 it helps recognize the 3′ splice site and recruit the U2 snRNP during early spliceosome assembly, and it also influences alternative splicing and mRNA export.
