Product Overview
Clone 28U43 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes ubiquitin-ribosomal protein eL40 fusion protein (gene UBA52) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 14.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 10 kDa.
UBA52 encodes a fusion protein made of one ubiquitin unit joined to the ribosomal protein eL40 (RPL40). After cleavage, the ubiquitin portion joins the cellular ubiquitin pool used to tag proteins for degradation and signaling, and eL40 becomes part of the large ribosomal subunit, linking ubiquitin supply to ribosome production.
