Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects ubiquitin-associated protein 2 (gene UBAP2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 117.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 140 kDa.
UBAP2 (ubiquitin-associated protein 2) is a protein that contains a UBA domain and is related to UBAP2L. It has been reported to recruit ubiquitination machinery to stalled RNA polymerase II when transcription-coupled repair cannot remove DNA damage, and it may influence degradation of annexin A2.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human A431 cells, human Caco-2 cells, human HepG2 cells, human SiHa cells, human A549 cells, human MCF-7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed result (IP): HeLa cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): Jurkat cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human UBAP2 fragment (Asp8–Lys868), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places ubiquitin-associated protein 2 in the nucleus, chromosome and cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
