Product Overview
Clone 30U27 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes ubiquitin-fold modifier-conjugating enzyme 1 (gene UFC1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 19.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 19 kDa.
UFC1 is the E2 conjugating enzyme of ufmylation, a ubiquitin-like modification system. It takes over UFM1 after activation by the E1 UBA5 and hands it on, with the E3 ligase UFL1, to target proteins. Ufmylation supports processes such as ER-phagy, ribosome recycling and the DNA damage response.
