Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 1A6 (gene UGT1A6) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 60.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 55–61 kDa.
UGT1A6 is a UDP-glucuronosyltransferase that links glucuronic acid to small phenolic and other lipophilic molecules so they can be excreted. Its substrates include drugs such as acetaminophen, serotonin and eicosanoids derived from arachidonic acid. It is studied in drug and xenobiotic metabolism.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 2 µg/mL (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HEK293 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human UGT1A6 fragment (Asp27–Ser251), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 1A6 in the microsome and endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in skin. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
