Host Rabbit
Immunogen A synthesized peptide derived from human USP10 Hydrolase that can remove conjugated ubiquitin from target proteins such as p53/TP53, SNX3 and CFTR. Acts as an essential regulator of p53/TP53 stability: in unstressed cells, specifically deubiquitinates p53/TP53 in the cytoplasm, leading to counteract MDM2 action and stabilize p53/TP53.

Biological background

USP10 (protein: T-cell surface glycoprotein CD3 zeta chain) is a commonly studied target in molecular and cellular biology. Functional context (as provided): This protein may be involved in the regulation of B-cell activation and proliferation. Reported cellular localization context: Cell membrane ; Multi-pass membrane protein . Cell membrane ; Lipid-anchor . Tissue expression notes (as provided): Expressed on B-cells.

Research relevance and current trends

  • Research context keywords from the source record include: Cell Biology,Deubiquitination,Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling,Proteasome / Ubiquitin,Proteolysis/Ubiquitin,Ubiquitin & Ubiquitin Like Modifiers.
  • Current studies often focus on connecting target abundance/localization to pathway perturbations across models, tissues, and cell states.
  • Quantitative and multiplexed assays (e.g., imaging + immunoblot panels) are commonly used to compare phenotypes across conditions and time-courses.

Common research applications

  • Western blotting (WB): assess relative target abundance across samples, treatments, or time-points.
  • Immunohistochemistry (IHC): evaluate spatial distribution of target-positive staining in tissue architecture.
  • Immunofluorescence/ICC (IF/ICC): visualize subcellular localization patterns and cell-to-cell heterogeneity.
  • Immunoprecipitation (IP): enrich target complexes for downstream immunoblot or interaction analyses.

Workflow ideas (metafield): Validate USP10 antibody specificity using KO/KD control samples (WB/IF/IHC as appropriate), Detect USP10 expression by Western blot in cell or tissue lysates, Detect USP10 in FFPE tissue sections by immunohistochemistry, Localize USP10 by immunofluorescence/immunocytochemistry in cultured cells, Enrich USP10 by immunoprecipitation from lysates for downstream analysis

Notes for experimental interpretation

  • Consider isoforms and post-translational modifications (PTMs) that may shift apparent molecular weight or epitope accessibility.
  • Apparent molecular weight may vary by sample type and processing (observed MW: 25 kDa; calculated MW: 33077 MW).
  • Control concepts: include appropriate negative controls (e.g., isotype, KO/KD samples) and orthogonal validation when feasible.

Additional product details (from the source record)

  • Molecular weight (observed): 25 kDa
  • Cellular localization (provided): Cell membrane ; Multi-pass membrane protein . Cell membrane ; Lipid-anchor .
  • Tissue details (provided): Expressed on B-cells.

We are currently using anti-USP10 Monoclonal antibody M03786 for human tissue, and we are content with the IF results. The species of reactivity given in the datasheet says human. Is it likely that the antibody can work on primate tissues as well?
The anti-USP10 Monoclonal antibody (M03786) has not been validated for cross reactivity specifically with primate tissues, but there is a good chance of cross reactivity. We have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in primate you can get your next antibody for free. Please contact me if I can help you with anything.
