Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 22 (gene USP22) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 60.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 68 kDa.
USP22 is the deubiquitinating enzyme of the SAGA transcription coactivator complex, where it removes ubiquitin from histones H2A and H2B. It is recruited to target promoters by activators such as MYC and supports their transcription. USP22 is studied in gene regulation, cell-cycle progression and cancer.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human, Mouse, Rat) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human A549 cells, human HepG2 cells, human HeLa cells, human Caco-2 cells, human MOLT-4 cells, human SH-SY5Y cells, human U251 cells, rat liver tissue, rat heart tissue, rat kidney tissue, rat RH35 cells, mouse liver tissue, mouse heart tissue, mouse kidney tissue, mouse NIH/3T3 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the N-terminal region of human USP22. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 89.5%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 22 in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Moderately expressed in various tissues including heart and skeletal muscle, and weakly expressed in lung and liver. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
