Product Overview
Clone 26U83 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 24 (gene USP24) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 294.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 294 kDa.
USP24 is a large ubiquitin-specific protease that controls cell survival by stabilizing some of its substrates, which include p53, the anti-apoptotic protein MCL1 and the DNA damage protein DDB2. It has also been linked to ferritinophagy, the lysosomal breakdown of ferritin that releases iron. It is studied in apoptosis and cancer.
