Product Overview
Clone 20V29 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes vesicle-associated membrane protein 1 (gene VAMP1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 12.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 16 kDa.
VAMP1 (synaptobrevin-1) is a vesicle-anchored SNARE protein. By pairing with target-membrane SNAREs such as syntaxin and SNAP-25, it helps drive fusion of transport and synaptic vesicles with their target membrane. It is studied in neurotransmitter release and neuromuscular transmission.
