Product Overview
Clone FHD-22 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes guanine nucleotide exchange factor VAV2 in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 101.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 101 kDa.
VAV2 is a widely expressed guanine nucleotide exchange factor for Rho-family GTPases such as Rac1 and RhoA. Tyrosine phosphorylation downstream of receptors activates it, linking growth factor and ephrin signaling to cytoskeletal changes. It has been implicated in endothelial cell migration and angiogenesis.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): 293T cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human breast cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human VAV2.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
