Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets vascular cell adhesion protein 1 (gene VCAM1) in human samples and is validated for ELISA and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 81.3 kDa.
VCAM-1 (CD106) is an immunoglobulin-superfamily adhesion molecule expressed on activated endothelial cells. Induced by inflammatory cytokines, it binds the integrin VLA-4 (α4β1) on leukocytes and supports their firm adhesion and migration into tissues. VCAM-1 is a common marker of endothelial activation in inflammation and atherosclerosis research.

Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| ELISA (capture antibody) | 1–5 µg/mL |
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human appendix tissue, human tonsil tissue, human kidney tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Recombinant human VCAM1 fragment (Phe25–Leu270), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed on inflamed vascular endothelium, as well as on macrophage-like and dendritic cell types in both normal and inflamed tissue.
