Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1 (gene FLT1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for ELISA, flow cytometry, ICC/IF and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 150.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 125 kDa.
Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1 (VEGFR-1, FLT1) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that binds VEGF-A, VEGF-B and placental growth factor. Its kinase signaling is weak, and a soluble form acts largely as a decoy that limits VEGF availability. FLT1 is studied in angiogenesis, macrophage recruitment, preeclampsia and vascular development.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
|---|---|
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 2 µg/mL |
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells |
| ELISA (capture antibody) | 1–5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human placenta tissue, human A549 cells, human COLO-320 cells, human A431 cells, human SK-OV-3 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A549 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): A549 cells.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human VEGF Receptor 1. The peptide sequence is conserved in mouse and rat.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in normal lung, but also in placenta, liver, kidney, heart and brain tissues. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
