Immunogen E.coli-derived human VEGF recombinant protein (Position: A27-R191). Human VEGF shares 78% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with both mouse and rat VEGF.
Purification Immunogen affinity purified.
Reconstitution Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.
Cellular localization Secreted . VEGF121 is acidic and freely secreted. VEGF165 is more basic, has heparin-binding properties and, although a signicant proportion remains cell-associated, most is freely secreted. VEGF189 is very basic, it is cell-associated after secretion and is bound avidly by heparin and the extracellular matrix, although it may be released as a soluble form by heparin, heparinase or plasmin.
Concentration Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
Form Lyophilized
Storage Store at -20˚C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4˚C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20˚C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Product Overview

This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects vascular endothelial growth factor A, long form (gene VEGFA) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and flow cytometry.

VEGF-A is the main vascular endothelial growth factor that drives angiogenesis. Produced in response to hypoxia, it binds VEGFR1 and VEGFR2 on endothelial cells to promote their proliferation, migration and survival and to increase vascular permeability. VEGF-A is widely studied in vascular development, wound healing, eye disease and tumor angiogenesis.
