Product Overview

Clone 22V84 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes vacuolar protein sorting-associated protein 11 homolog (gene VPS11) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 107.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 108 kDa.

VPS11 is a core subunit shared by the HOPS and CORVET tethering complexes of the endolysosomal system. These complexes bind Rab GTPases and SNAREs to dock and fuse endosomes, lysosomes and autophagosomes. VPS11 is studied in lysosomal trafficking and autophagy.

Reactivity Notes

The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places vacuolar protein sorting-associated protein 11 homolog in the endosome, late endosome membrane and lysosome membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitous. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.

Safety

Handling: the formulation contains sodium azide as a preservative. Wear gloves, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and dispose of waste according to local regulations. For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
