Product Overview
Clone AEEE-22 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes vacuolar protein sorting-associated protein 26A (gene VPS26A) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 38.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 38 kDa.
VPS26A is a subunit of the retromer cargo-recognition complex, together with VPS35 and VPS29. Retromer retrieves membrane proteins from endosomes and returns them to the trans-Golgi network or the plasma membrane, sparing them from lysosomal degradation. It is studied in endosomal sorting and neurodegeneration.
