Product Overview
Clone AECH-22 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes vacuolar protein sorting-associated protein 35 (gene VPS35) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 91.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 92 kDa.
VPS35 is the central subunit of retromer, the endosomal complex that recycles membrane proteins back to the trans-Golgi network or cell surface instead of sending them to lysosomes. Cargo includes the mannose-6-phosphate receptor. A VPS35 mutation (D620N) causes familial Parkinson's disease, making it a focus in neurodegeneration research.
