Product Overview
Clone 22W59 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes wings apart-like protein homolog (gene WAPL) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 132.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 160 kDa.
WAPL is a regulator of cohesin, the ring complex that holds sister chromatids together. It opens the cohesin ring to release it from chromatin, which limits chromatin loop size in interphase and removes most cohesin from chromosome arms in early mitosis. WAPL is studied in chromosome segregation and 3D genome organization.
