Product Overview
Clone ACOB-23 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes actin nucleation-promoting factor WASL in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 54.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 70 kDa.
N-WASP (WASL) is a ubiquitously expressed actin nucleation-promoting factor. Activated by CDC42 and PIP2, it stimulates the Arp2/3 complex to form branched actin filaments during filopodia formation, endocytosis and vesicle movement. N-WASP is also used by pathogens such as enteropathogenic E. coli to build actin structures.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human RT4 cells lysate, human SH-SY5Y cells lysate, human A431 cells lysate, human MCF-7 cells lysate, rat brain tissue lysates, mouse brain tissue lysates.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human WASL.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places actin nucleation-promoting factor WASL in the cytoplasm and nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
