Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets WD repeat-containing protein 5 (gene WDR5) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 36.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 37 kDa.
WDR5 is a WD40-repeat scaffold protein found in the MLL/SET1 histone methyltransferase complexes, where together with RBBP5 and ASH2L it supports methylation of histone H3 at lysine 4, a mark of active transcription. It also belongs to the NSL acetyltransferase complex, and it is widely studied in chromatin regulation, stem cells and cancer biology.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human 293T cells, human Jurkat cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant human WDR5 fragment (Gln25–Asp324), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places WD repeat-containing protein 5 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
