Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes histone-lysine N-methyltransferase NSD2 in human and monkey samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 152.3 kDa; the supplier reports observed bands at 70 kDa, 160 kDa.
NSD2 (also called WHSC1 or MMSET) is a histone methyltransferase that mainly dimethylates histone H3 at lysine 36 (H3K36me2), a mark linked to active chromatin. It is overexpressed in multiple myeloma with the t(4;14) translocation and deleted in Wolf–Hirschhorn syndrome, and it is studied in chromatin regulation, development and cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, monkey COS-7 cells, human Raji cells, human HEK293 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant human WHSC1/NSD2 fragment (Glu2–Ala478), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and monkey. UniProt places histone-lysine N-methyltransferase NSD2 in the nucleus and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
