Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes protein Wnt-2b (gene WNT2B) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for IHC and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 43.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 44 kDa.
Wnt-2b is a secreted Wnt ligand that binds Frizzled receptors and activates canonical β-catenin signaling. It works alongside Wnt-2 in embryonic lung specification and is also expressed in the intestine and eye, where it contributes to development and stem cell support.

Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 0.5–1 µg/mL (Human, Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): 22RV1 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): mouse brain tissue, rat brain tissue, human lung cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the N-terminal region of human wnt2b. The peptide sequence is conserved in mouse and rat.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt describes protein Wnt-2b as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Isoform 1 is expressed in adult heart, brain, placenta, lung, prostate, testis, ovary, small intestine and colon. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
