Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects protein Wnt-8b (gene WNT8B) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 38.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 40–50 kDa.
Wnt-8b is a secreted Wnt ligand that binds Frizzled receptors. It is expressed in the developing forebrain, particularly the dorsal telencephalon and diencephalon, and is thought to contribute to patterning and differentiation of forebrain regions such as the hippocampus.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human RT4 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): MCF-7 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human WNT8B fragment (Ala206–Arg340), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expression is restricted to the brain, and more specifically to the forebrain. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
