Product Overview

Clone 22N07 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes non-homologous end-joining factor 1 (gene NHEJ1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 33.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 39 kDa.

XLF (also called Cernunnos, NHEJ1) is a core factor of non-homologous end joining, the main pathway for repairing DNA double-strand breaks in mammalian cells. It works with XRCC4 and DNA ligase IV to align and join broken ends and is needed for V(D)J recombination during lymphocyte development.

Reactivity Notes

The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places non-homologous end-joining factor 1 in the nucleus and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.

Safety

Handling: the formulation contains sodium azide as a preservative. Wear gloves, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and dispose of waste according to local regulations. For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
Q.Which applications is this antibody validated for, and at what dilution?
A.Validated applications with suggested starting dilutions: Western blot 1:1000–1:5000; Immunohistochemistry 1:50–1:200; Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence 1:50–1:200; Flow cytometry 1:50. Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory.
Q.Which species does this antibody react with?
A.Validated reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat. Other species are not listed by the supplier.
Q.What band size should be expected in Western blot?
A.Reported by the supplier: calculated molecular weight 33.3 kDa; observed band at about 39 kDa. A difference from the calculated size is common and can reflect post-translational modification, processing or isoform differences.
Q.What immunogen was used to raise this antibody?
A.Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human XLF.
Q.How should this antibody be stored?
A.Long term: −20 °C for up to 12 months. Frequent use: 4 °C for up to 1 month. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
