Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects transcriptional regulatory protein LGE1 in yeast samples.
In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, LGE1 encodes a transcriptional regulator that works with the Bre1 ubiquitin ligase in the monoubiquitination of histone H2B at lysine 123. This mark is required for later methylation of histone H3 at lysines 4 and 79 and influences transcription and telomeric silencing. LGE1 is also needed to activate PDR3 in cells lacking mitochondrial DNA.
