Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 2 (gene RAD6) in yeast samples.
In the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Rad6 is an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme with several partner E3 ligases. With Rad18 it monoubiquitinates PCNA to start postreplication DNA repair, and with Bre1 it monoubiquitinates histone H2B lysine 123, a mark that supports transcription and further histone methylation.
