Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes ferritin (gene 5573308) in Yellowfever mosquito samples.
In Aedes aegypti, ferritin stores iron in a soluble, non-toxic form within a hollow protein shell, releasing it when cells need it. Because blood feeding delivers a large iron load, mosquito ferritin is studied in iron balance, oxidative stress and blood meal physiology.
