Product Overview
Clone 19Y44 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes tyrosine-protein kinase Yes (gene YES1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 60.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 61 kDa.
YES1 is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase of the SRC family, anchored to membranes by lipid modification. It is activated downstream of receptor tyrosine kinases such as EGFR and PDGFR and regulates cell growth, survival, adhesion and cytoskeletal remodeling, and it has been linked to YAP1 activation and cancer progression.

Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human lung cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human yes1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places tyrosine-protein kinase Yes in the cell membrane, cytoplasm and cell junction. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in the epithelial cells of renal proximal tubules and stomach as well as hematopoietic cells in the bone marrow and spleen in the fetal tissues. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
