Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects 14-3-3 protein epsilon (gene YWHAE) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 29.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 28 kDa.
14-3-3 ε (YWHAE) is a member of the 14-3-3 family of phospho-binding adapter proteins that regulate many signaling pathways. By binding phosphorylated partners it influences their activity and localization in processes such as cell-cycle checkpoints, apoptosis and neuronal migration, and deletion of YWHAE contributes to the severity of Miller-Dieker lissencephaly.

Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): rat brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): MCF-7 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): A549 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human YWHAE fragment (Met1–Gln255), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places 14-3-3 protein epsilon in the nucleus, cytoplasm and melanosome. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
