Product Overview
Clone 22A72 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes zinc-alpha-2-glycoprotein (gene AZGP1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 34.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 43 kDa.
Zinc-α2-glycoprotein (AZGP1) is a secreted protein with an MHC class I-like fold found in plasma, saliva and other body fluids. It stimulates lipid breakdown in adipocytes and is studied in fat metabolism, obesity and cancer-associated weight loss (cachexia).

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HepG2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human prostatic hyperplasia tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
