Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects acetyl-CoA carboxylase (gene acaca) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF.
Acetyl-CoA carboxylase 1 (ACACA, ACC1) is a biotin-dependent cytosolic enzyme that converts acetyl-CoA to malonyl-CoA, the first and rate-limiting step of fatty acid synthesis. It is controlled by AMPK phosphorylation and is a target in studies of lipogenesis, metabolic disease and cancer metabolism.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish liver tissue, zebrafish ovary tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): zebrafish embryo tissue.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish ACC1/ACACA fragment (Ile799–His1324), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places acetyl-CoA carboxylase in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
