Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets ALK tyrosine kinase receptor in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
Anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) is a receptor tyrosine kinase expressed mainly in the developing nervous system. Chromosomal rearrangements that create ALK fusion proteins, such as NPM-ALK and EML4-ALK, and activating ALK mutations drive anaplastic large cell lymphoma, lung cancer and neuroblastoma, making ALK an important cancer research and drug target.
| Target | ALK tyrosine kinase receptor (gene alk; UniProt F8W3R9, zebrafish) |

| Reactivity | Zebrafish |
| Form | Liquid |
| Formulation | 20 mM PBS; 50% glycerol; 0.02% NaN3 |
| Storage | Store at −20 °C for up to 12 months or 4 °C for up to 1 month. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL |
|---|
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places ALK tyrosine kinase receptor in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (zebrafish): Highly expressed in the developing central nervous system: highly expressed in brain, with much lower expression in heart, caudal fin and testis.
