Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets androgen receptor (gene ar) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
The androgen receptor (AR) is a ligand-activated nuclear receptor that binds testosterone and dihydrotestosterone. After hormone binding it moves to the nucleus and regulates target genes controlling male sexual development and many other tissues, and it is a central target in prostate cancer research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish Androgen receptor/AR fragment (Glu12–Gln852), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places androgen receptor in the cytoplasm and nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
