Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets autophagy protein 5 (gene atg5) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
ATG5 is a core autophagy protein that is covalently linked to ATG12 by the enzymes ATG7 and ATG10. The ATG12-ATG5 conjugate, bound to ATG16L1, drives LC3 lipidation and autophagosome formation, and ATG5 knockout cells and animals are standard tools for studying autophagy.
| Target | Autophagy protein 5 (gene atg5; UniProt F1RDC0, zebrafish) |
|---|---|
| Host / Clonality / Isotype | Rabbit / Polyclonal / Rabbit IgG |
| Reactivity | Zebrafish |
| Form | Lyophilized |
| Formulation | Per vial: 4 mg trehalose; 0.9 mg NaCl; 0.2 mg Na2HPO4 |
| Storage | Store at −20 °C for up to 12 months from receipt. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish cerebellum tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish ATG5 fragment (Ser118–Leu155), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places autophagy protein 5 in the cytoplasm and preautophagosomal structure membrane.
