Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes transcription factor atoh7 in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
In zebrafish, atoh7 (also called lakritz) is a bHLH transcription factor required for the formation of retinal ganglion cells, the neurons that form the optic nerve. Zebrafish atoh7 mutants lack these cells, making it a key model for studying retinal neurogenesis.
| Target | Transcription factor atoh7 (gene atoh7; UniProt Q8AW52, zebrafish) |
|---|---|
| Host / Clonality / Isotype | Rabbit / Polyclonal / Rabbit IgG |
| Reactivity | Zebrafish |
| Form | Lyophilized |
| Formulation | Per vial: 4 mg trehalose; 0.9 mg NaCl; 0.2 mg Na2HPO4 |
| Storage | As supplied: −20 °C for up to 12 months from receipt. After reconstitution: 4 °C for up to 1 month, or aliquot and keep at −20 °C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish eye tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish ATOH7 fragment (Met1–Leu134), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places transcription factor atoh7 in the nucleus, perikaryon and cell projection.
