Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes axin-1 (gene axin1) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
Axin-1 (AXIN1) is the scaffold of the β-catenin destruction complex, bringing together APC, GSK3β and CK1 so that β-catenin is phosphorylated and degraded. It therefore acts as a key negative regulator of Wnt signaling, and loss-of-function mutations are found in several cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish AXIN1 fragment (Glu91–Asp835), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places axin-1 in the cytoplasm, nucleus, membrane and cell membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
