Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects axin-2 (gene axin2) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
Axin-2 (AXIN2, also called conductin) is a scaffold protein of the β-catenin destruction complex and a negative regulator of Wnt signaling. Because AXIN2 is itself a direct Wnt target gene, its expression is widely used as a readout of Wnt/β-catenin pathway activity, and it marks Wnt-responsive stem cells in several tissues.
| Target | Axin-2 (gene axin2; UniProt P57095, zebrafish) |

| Formulation | Per vial: 4 mg trehalose; 0.9 mg NaCl; 0.2 mg Na2HPO4 |
| Storage | As supplied: −20 °C for up to 12 months from receipt. After reconstitution: 4 °C for up to 1 month, or aliquot and keep at −20 °C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish colon tissue, zebrafish spinal cord tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish AXIN2 fragment (His86–Asp812), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places axin-2 in the cytoplasm.
