Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes BMP2 (gene bmp2a) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
In zebrafish, bmp2a is one of two paralogs of mammalian BMP2, a TGF-β superfamily growth factor that signals through SMAD1/5/9. Its specific developmental roles have been less well defined than those of its paralog bmp2b.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish BMP2A fragment (Leu24–Arg279), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt describes BMP2 as a secreted protein. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
