Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects peripheral plasma membrane protein CASK (gene caska) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC and ICC/IF.
In zebrafish, caska is one of the fish paralogs of CASK, a membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) scaffold protein. In mammals, CASK organizes synaptic proteins such as neurexins and is important for brain development; the specific role of zebrafish caska has not been fully characterized.
| Target | Peripheral plasma membrane protein CASK (gene caska; UniProt Q910A4, zebrafish) |
|---|---|
| Host / Clonality / Isotype | Rabbit / Polyclonal / Rabbit IgG |
| Reactivity | Zebrafish |
| Form | Lyophilized |
| Formulation | Per vial: 4 mg trehalose; 0.9 mg NaCl; 0.2 mg Na2HPO4 |
| Storage | As supplied: −20 °C for up to 12 months from receipt. After reconstitution: 4 °C for up to 1 month, or aliquot and keep at −20 °C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|---|
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): zebrafish embryo tissue.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish CASK fragment (Arg27–Asp492), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places peripheral plasma membrane protein CASK in the cell membrane, cytoplasm and nucleus.
