Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes CCN family member 2 (gene ccn2a) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
In zebrafish, ccn2a is one of the two paralogs of CCN2, the secreted matricellular protein known in mammals as connective tissue growth factor (CTGF). CCN2 proteins regulate cell adhesion, extracellular matrix production and skeletal development, and zebrafish ccn2a is studied in fin and heart regeneration, spinal cord repair and cartilage formation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish CCN2A fragment (Ala57–Ala345), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
