Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes stromal cell-derived factor 1 (gene cxcl12a) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
In zebrafish, cxcl12a (sdf1a) encodes a chemokine that signals through the receptor Cxcr4b. It is well known for guiding the migration of primordial germ cells to the gonad and of the posterior lateral line primordium along the body, making it a standard model for studying chemokine-guided cell migration in vivo.

| Formulation | Per vial: 4 mg trehalose; 0.9 mg NaCl; 0.2 mg Na2HPO4 |
| Storage | As supplied: −20 °C for up to 12 months from receipt. After reconstitution: 4 °C for up to 1 month, or aliquot and keep at −20 °C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish spinal cord tissue, zebrafish colon tissue, zebrafish kidney tissue, zebrafish heart tissue, zebrafish brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish CXCL12A/B fragment (Lys24–Val99), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt describes stromal cell-derived factor 1 as a secreted protein.
