Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects cytochrome P450 1A (gene cyp1b1) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF.
CYP1B1 is a cytochrome P450 enzyme expressed in many extrahepatic tissues and induced through the aryl hydrocarbon receptor. It hydroxylates estrogens, especially at the 4-position, and activates some procarcinogens, and it also acts on retinoids and fatty acids. Mutations cause primary congenital glaucoma, and it is studied in eye development, hormone metabolism and cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish colon tissue, zebrafish kidney tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): zebrafish embryo tissue.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish CYP1B1 fragment (Gln51–Asp526), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places cytochrome P450 1A in the endomembrane system, endoplasmic reticulum membrane and microsome membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
