Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets steroid 21-hydroxylase (gene cyp1c2) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
In zebrafish, cyp1c2 belongs to the cytochrome P450 family 1 (CYP1) of monooxygenases, a group that in fish is linked to aryl hydrocarbon receptor signaling and metabolism of foreign compounds. Its specific substrates and physiological role have not been fully characterized.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish CYP1C2 fragment (Ser93–Asn454), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places steroid 21-hydroxylase in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and microsome membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
