Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects deleted in azoospermia-like (gene dazl) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
DAZL (deleted in azoospermia-like) is a germ cell RNA-binding protein needed for the formation of both sperm and eggs. It attaches to the 3′-UTRs of target mRNAs and adjusts how efficiently they are translated, with a particularly central role during spermatogenesis. DAZL is widely used as a germ cell marker and studied in fertility and gametogenesis research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish DAZL fragment (Met1–Met229), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places deleted in azoospermia-like in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (zebrafish): Testis and ovary specific. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
