Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets RNA helicase (gene ddx6) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
DDX6 (also called RCK or p54) is a DEAD-box RNA helicase that is essential for forming P-bodies, cytoplasmic granules where translationally silent mRNAs are stored or degraded. It links translational repression with mRNA decapping and supports microRNA-mediated silencing. DDX6 is studied in mRNA storage, decay and stress responses.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): whole female zebrafish tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish DDX6 fragment (Ile67–Leu484), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places RNA helicase in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
