Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects parkinson disease protein 7 homolog (gene park7) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
DJ-1 (PARK7) is a small, widely expressed protein that protects cells against oxidative stress. It senses oxidation through a key cysteine and supports antioxidant responses, including stabilization of NRF2; loss-of-function mutations cause a rare early-onset form of Parkinson's disease.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 12% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish DJ-1/PARK7 fragment (Met1–Asp189), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places parkinson disease protein 7 homolog in the cell membrane, cytoplasm, nucleus and membrane raft. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (zebrafish): Larval brain and gut from 96 hours post-fertilization (hpf). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
